Help us wish a happy birthday to our multitalented Clint Roth!
Hope you have a wonderful day buddy; can’t wait to see your new work at our studio for EastAustinStudioTour!
You can check his music here.
You know how you open an email and open the newsletter and scan through it, then you click on a link, that takes you to an article that mentions something that seems interesting and you do a search and end up finding some really cool info?
That happened to me today. I ended up at the Dougherty Arts Center Website. I have passed by their building many times without ever wondering what goes on in there and boy am I happy I found their website!
As artists and performers, we are always looking for ways to stretch our money, heck, you don’t need to be an artist or a performer to want to save a buck! That’s why I’m sharing this tidbit of info in case you, like me, had not heard that the DAC now has a space where you can comfortably do your research (without the feeling you have to buy a coffee every hour to justify the use of the free wifi), meet with prospective clients or collaborators, or simply work in a comfortable place that is not your living room.
The Artist Resource Center at the Dougherty Arts Center provides with everything you may need to take care of the planning and production of your next project.
They have the basics: WiFi, charging stations and caffeine plus access to a resource library, TV with HDMI connection and even Adobe Suite. SWEET!
Best of all, you don’t need reservations, memberships or to succumb to the imaginary self-imposed pressure of buying something.
The space is open M-W 10 am to 10 pm and Saturdays 10 am to 2 pm.
For the dancers and actors in the bunch, the DAC also has rehearsal spaces available FOR FREE! For more info, send an email to DACInfo@austintexas.gov or contact the theater coordinator Lucy Miller-Downing at 512-974-4045
If you haven’t had the chance to check out the DAC, don’t waste another minute and hop onto their website or Facebook page. You’ll be amazed at all the other events, services and classes they have available!

Aaaaand last but not least, we have the amazingly talented Patricia Carrington ( yes from those “Carringtons”, as in Leonora 😉 )
She is an amazing photographer and designer that loves to play with our perception altering the reality that she portrays on her pieces, making them surreal, fantastic and poetic.
Not only she’s one of my favorite people in the whole world, Patricia’s artistry reflects exactly how cool and bright her personality is, come to the Studio #111 and get her pieces for your home or office, your rooms will be transporting you to foreign places filled with happy 🙂
Soooo, we’re more than ready for you! Come, say hi and support young talent ❤
Greometria (Greometry in English :P) has been around art for a long time, but mostly working behind the scenes, it wasn’t until a few years ago that he decided to give his art a chance, and boy was that a good move!.
Working with every color of the rainbow and intervening everything he can find, he’s giving us a more colorful complex world one shoe/wall at a time ❤
He’s grown in a very fast pase, currently he collaborates with amazing people in Mexico in every field you can think of, his art its so fun and versatile, he can pretty much do it all; this will be his first US appearance, hope you can come and witness it!
We’re only a few days from the Happening! Make sure you put Studio #111 in your list, we want to see you there! 11am-6pm on November 19th :*
Yep… I told you! hehe
Musician, Teacher, Designer, Artist are a few words we can use to describe this talented, kind dude; I met him in Monterrey through music and it wasn’t till years after that I found out he was as talented at visual arts as he is on Music.
His resume it’s pretty impressive, he’s designed for worldwide brands plus he does a bunch of independent work and teaches unprivileged kids ❤️
You can hear his Austin band Kev Bev and the Woodland Creatures all the time around Austin and of course see/buy his Art at our Studio #111 next Saturday Nov 19th from 11am-6pm yayy
Oh also, you can hear us on KOOP this Monday 14th from 1-2PM Adrian, Clint, myself and our good friend Federico Archuleta (who’s having 2 kick ass shows next weekend) will be talking about EAST and their individual work 😉
Hope you have a lovely weekend! Let EAST begin and our hearts be filled with art and pretty things yayyy!
