Anyway, seguimos aprendiendo, descirniendo, creciendo y “The sky is the Limit” I guess 😉
Beverly Kemp is a unique Painter and Internet Sensation, people recognize her controversial & raw Art anywhere; Last year Bev and Gerardo Arellano were “Must See” EAST studio #6 by Do512‘s featuring an Ann Richards painting that brought a smile to everyone.
This year She’ll work again with #TheProjecto bringing new and not so new pieces to us!
Let me share you an excerpt of her bio that I love, and describes some of what you’ll see:
Reviewers and critics have described my work as ‘eye-popping’ and ‘Disney-fied.’ Yet, I find that my oils on canvas are more than screaming upside-down, inside-out point-of-view statements or cross-eyed observations of societal norms and women’s issues that shouldn’t be. As I age and wage an on-going battle with Parkinson’s disease, filling in another red dress comes easier and easier. Now, I know my paint is saying something. ❤
Hope You’re already convinced and drop by Studio #111!!!
I haven’t being able to post for a while; I have excuses 😉 : I got a “You should learn how to write in English” comment, it was made with the best intentions, but it sure hit me and all of my insecurities pretty hard. I wish that suggestion came with a manual, that’s all I’m saying haha… It’s tricky! I know for a fact I’m not doing the best job at this thing but the best way to get better at something is doing it, practicing. Honestly, it took me a while to start for that reason exactly; every post took days, I would write something, review, write it again, have it edited by someone else, then reviewed again and I still didn’t feel sure of what I was doing, but because I wanted to get it out there I figured I might just do a few mistakes and go on. So, with all my heart I tell you, if you have suggestions, tips or whatever, please send them my way, I DO want to improve and fool you into thinking English is my 1st language, in the meantime, thank you for joining me in this Spanglish journey…
While the trauma was strong and steady, I started working a lot in different projects, for exampleeeee:
East Austin Studio Tour, 1st official “The Projecto” participation.
New Image for the website.
Tour dates for a few of the artists & More!
Also, I’ve been attending different really cool events that have been feeding me with great material; one of the really cool things that I’ve seen at such events is “Bella By Sara“a local Floral Designer that blew my mind! The featured image shows a few of the designs she made for ILEA’s “Deep in the heart of Texas” event. AMAZING! isn’t it?!
Well, keep in touch and I’ll be back in track really soon!
