The Projecto & Presa House Gallery are happy to present “Degradado” (Gradient), an exhibition featuring artists from Austin, Tx, and Monterrey, Mx in San Antonio, Tx.

“Long-lasting friendships and professional relationships inspired this show where colors turn to shapes and reason dissolves in emotions.

Each artists’ voice is clear and defined, they share very little with each other but together they meld into a gradient spectrum of awesomeness”.

The opening reception will be held First Friday, December 7 from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM featuring music by Chido Machine (Austin, TX).

Degradado will be on view by appointment December 7 through December 29, 2018.

I didn’t say anything when JuanGa passed away; there was enough people talking about it either way (Even Obama tweeted!)… But, when I heard the idea about doing a tribute in his honor, I thought that was the perfect way for me to contribute and express what we as Mexicans and music lovers feel about it/his passing 😦 So, this September the 30th we’re doing a Tribute to JuanGa and I just wanted to invite you guys to enjoy one of the best Mexican gifts to the world, Juan Gabriel’s music (or as I call him for reference, the Mexican Elton John haha).

Sept 30th 9PM at El Sol y la Luna, Austin Tx. Here is the event on FB in case you want more info 😉 Happy last week of September :O

Mobley @ Festival de la Cerveza

austin tx, latin america, music, reviews, Uncategorized

I’ve been meaning to do this post, but a bunch of things happened in July that made it impossible; here it is finally! #FestivalDeLaCerveza all the wayyyy!!!!

A month ago we (Mobley) were lucky to go to perform at the “Festival de la Cerveza Monterrey” (Beer Fest Monterrey) and it was so much fun! We got the invite from our awesome friend Mike Ahumada aka Mike Volta from Jamming House (btw Mike was one of the first collaborators and team members at our agency and band incubator “Get Your Gig” <3).  We were ecstatic since we’ve heard about this festival and how it keeps getting bigger and better every year; this particular one was going to be held at the brand new Estadio BBVA Bancomer (Big Soccer Stadium) so we were all excited, and specially Alfredo who’s a big Rayados fan (the soccer team that plays there) any who, we were OOON!

The experience was super fun, it was great to see familiar bands, friends and that amount of beer & food all together ;P Mobley did awesome, people were dancing, singing, cheering and we also had a drunk guy performing for a bit (That is definitely not encouraged hahaha).

They even had a tiny tech glitch that no one even noticed because how well organized and professionals these guys are. A true pleasure to work with!

Im already waiting for the next one, be sure to follow my friends at Jamming House, they’re doing very interesting and different quality projects in Monterrey, Mx.

Here is a short https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FFestivaldelaCervezaMonterrey%2Fvideos%2F1315268655153526%2F&show_text=0&width=560“>video with some images so that you start planning for next year; yayyy!

*BTW Thanks to Jamming House for the pictures!

Cheers ya’ll!

On Tour!

I’m going to be on tour with the band Mobley! If you’re going to be in Mexico City from March the 31st and until April the 6th there is a good chance we can cross paths; we’ll go to San Miguel de Allende right after and then to Monterrey. My share of the tour ends there but Mobley keeps playing the East Coast of US.

Let us know if you’re around, we’d love to see you!

PS Get ready for the food postssssss!!!! 😀

Soooo, this is my Blog or whatever

art, austin, food, music, texas, travel

My name is Coka Trevino and I live in Austin, TX. I love art, food, travel, learning random stuff, cats, & many other things I plan to write about.

The first time I thought about blogging was when my really good friend told me I should do it; I always had something mean/funny to say about celebrities or whomever. Me, being a big fan of “The Superficial,” I thought I’d give it a try. I don’t know why I stopped, maybe it was because being mean/funny as a professional really intimidated me. Perhaps, I was just too lazy.

After a bunch of years, different jobs, and moving to Austin, I made up my mind and decided to give it a go. I often work with art, music, and creative people, plus, I’m a dedicated eater (the word foodie seems way to trendy right now), so that should give me enough material to write about.

I hope you like it and feel like sharing; that would definitely be awesome!
